Priscilla Revord

Priscilla Revord Priscilla Revord Priscilla Revord of St. Ignace passed away early Thursday morning, October 12, 2017, at Hiland Cottage Hospice House in Petoskey, following a lingering illness. She was 98.

She was born March 28, 1919, to John and Ellen (nee Peterson) Yell in Munising.

She married Russell Revord in 1946, and they made their home in Brevort, were they operated a truck stop, grocery, and motel in the 1940s and 1950s, before the building of the Mackinac Bridge. The property was taken by the State of Michigan when US-2 was rebuilt through Brevort.

Mrs. Revord was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Lutheran Church.

She was an accomplished artist, and many of her paintings are in homes in the area. She traveled extensively, and she was active up to six years ago, when ill health slowed her down.

She is survived by a son, Gary Revord of St. Ignace, and three sisters, Virginia Dufore of New Mexico, Beverly Oas of Munising, and Helen Steinhoff of Marquette.

Mrs. Revord was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, who died March 29, 1999.

No services will be held at this time.

Dodson Funeral Home of St. Ignace assisted the family with arrangements.
