Six on Ballot for City of St. Ignace; Cedarville School District Seeks Millage

November 7 Election

Voters will go to the polls Tuesday, November 7. In the City of St. Ignace, incumbent Connie Litzner is running unopposed for a two-year term as mayor, while five candidates are running for three seats on the city council: incumbent James Clapperton, Benjamin Eisenman, William LaLonde, Kayla Pelter, and incumbent

Jay Tremble. Council terms are four years.

In this issue, the candidates share their perspectives with readers through responses that they each wrote themselves. Each candidate could use up to 200 words to respond to each question posed by the newspaper. Mr. Tremble did not respond to questions from the newspaper.

In the Les Cheneaux Community Schools district, voters will consider a bond proposal to raise 1.38 mills for seven years. More information about that proposal is also is published in this issue.

Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
