Theora Bosley Theora Bosley Theora Jean Bosley, 82, of Stalwart, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie, surrounded by her family.

She was born October 4, 1935, to Samuel and Violet (nee Bawks) Cruickshank.

Mrs. Bosley grew up in Pickford. She was graduated from Pickford High School in 1953. She met Robert Luke Bosley, who was a friend of her uncle, Ray Cruickshank, and they were married October 10, 1953. They made their home in Stalwart, where they reared five children.

When her children were younger, she worked cleaning during the summers on Marquette Island. Once the children were mostly grown up, she worked as a cook at Northwoods Christian Camp for 13 years, and then at Main Street Café in Pickford.

Mrs. Bosley was a member of Stalwart Presbyterian Church and their Women’s Association. She was also a member of the War Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Raber Senior Citizens, and American Legion Post 323 Auxiliary.

She celebrated her most recent birthday with her family and commented that it was her best birthday party yet, family members said. She was pleased that she shared her birthdate with one of her grandsons.

Mrs. Bosley liked to have a vegetable garden and she passed a love of gardening on to her children. She enjoyed baking and canning. She also enjoyed being active in church. Her favorite way to spend time was with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters and their families, Francie and Jim Waybrant of Newberry, Penny and Eric Wallis of Rudyard, and Cheryl and Dan Nettleton of Pickford; two sons and their families, Harrison Bosley of Stalwart and Robert S. Bosley and Connie Rhodes, also of Stalwart; grandchildren and their families, Danielle and Mark Clegg, Kristy and Brenden Currie, Kelly and Tyler VanLoon, Emily and Tyler Lofdahl, Michelle and Andy Raden, Chris and Jackie Bosley, and Tyler J. Bosley, and great-grandchildren, Keera Currie, Braylon Currie, Kenzlie Currie, Braydee Raden, Reece Lofdahl, Kiera Lofdahl, Sawyer Van- Loon, Carter Clegg, Connor Clegg, and Chloe Clegg. She is also survived by three sisters and their families, Wanda and Vern Sawyers of Sault Ste. Marie, Diane and John Kane of Kincheloe, and Debbie Kelly of Pickford; a sister-in-law, Kathy Cruickshank of Pickford, and a brother-in-law, Crandal Wiertella of Sault Ste. Marie.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bosley was preceded in death by her husband, who died October 23, 2002, and a brother, Don Cruickshank.

Services were held Monday, October 30, at 1 p.m. at R. Galer Funeral Home in Pickford with Reverend Jessica Paulsen officiating. Visitation was from 11 a.m. to time of the service.

Burial was in Oaklawn Chapel Gardens Cemetery in Bruce Township.
