Engadine Consolidated Schools

Giving and sharing with others are important skills for our students to learn and practice. The elementary student council will have a penny and canned goods drive beginning Monday, December 4, through Friday, December 15. The high school student council will have a canned goods drive, as well. Collected items will be donated to Love, Inc.

The Key Club will hold a sock drive. For two weeks, new socks will be collected. The socks will then be packaged and sent to an organization in Pennsylvania called “The Joy of Sox.” From there, the donated socks will be given to homeless shelters for people in need. Black cotton or wool socks are preferred, rather than white. Adult socks will benefit the Pennsylvania organization, but any socks that would fit a child will be sent to a different location in Traverse City for children. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. The window for the sock drive is December 4 through December 15. For additional information about “The Joy of Sox,” visit https://www.thejoyofsox.org.
