Theresa Cryderman

Theresa Cryderman Theresa Cryderman Theresa Cryderman, 76, of Pickford, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, at her home.

She was born December 15, 1940, to Russell and Ursula (nee Kennedy) Cryderman in Dafter.

She attended Pickford High School. She married Royce Rader in January 1957.

Ms. Cryderman was employed by Michigan Limestone Operations for many years, where she worked in their Cedarville Quarry. She was a shop mechanic, ran the locomotive, did track repair, loaded boats, drove trucks, was a welder, and even did some drilling and work with explosives.

She enjoyed snowmobiling and snowmobile racing. Ms. Cryderman also enjoyed woodworking, ceramics, knitting, and crocheting. She made everyone a blanket. Ms. Cryderman loved being around horses.

She is survived by her children and their families, Brian and Melanie Rader, Kevin Rader, Michael Rader, and Tari and Mark Miller, all of Pickford; nine grandchildren, Ashten Izzard, Kassandra and Lee Whitson, Allison and Josh Gordon, Mary Rader, Elaina Rader, Samantha Cruickshank, Kimberly Cruickshank, Halie Miller, and Seth Miller, and six great-grandchildren, Grace, Sicily, Valentino, Marklynn, Anthony, and Faith. She is also survived by three sisters, Annie Goetz of Dafter, Lillian Holt of Sault Ste. Marie, and Mary Cobb of Dafter.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Cryderman was preceded in death by three children, Kenny Rader, Darrell Rader, and Kimberly Izzard; a grandson, Lucas Izzard; two brothers, Russell Cryderman and Forest Cryderman, and four sisters, Ethel Cottelit, Evelyn Cryderman, Val McCoy, and Gert Lehigh.

A funeral mass was held Saturday, December 16, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Barbeau with Brother John Hascall officiating.

Visitation was Friday, December 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at C.S. Mulder Funeral Home in Sault Ste. Marie.

Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
