Firefighters spray a mixture of foam and water, soaking embers and preventing them from rekindling the Tokar Ridge Fire, an approximately 40-acre blaze contained by firefighters Saturday, August 4. The terrain is similar to that in the massive Sleeper Lake Fire nearby. Both have burned treed bogs, where patches of dry vegetation and peat are side-by-side with damp, untouched spots. 004p1_xlg.jpg
