As part of the 25th Anniversary Celebration for Michigan State Ferries in 1948, Miss Straits of Mackinac, Alice Beatrice West, served a slice of the anniversary cake to Governor Kim Sigler, at a VIP dinner held aboard the Icebreaker Mackinaw.
