Crew members from the Coast Guard icebreaking tug Biscayne Bay, along with employees from Janco Enterprises of Cocoa, Florida, transfer the ship's 1,200-pound anchor and 540 feet of anchor chain to the shore Monday, May 5, at St. Ignace. For the next three weeks, both anchor and chain will be inspected and refurbished. Old paint will be sandblasted off and new paint applied.
