THE TRACTORS: Farm tractors rolled across the Mackinac Bridge for the first time in its 51-year history Friday, September 12. For about 2.5 hours, 627 tractors, traveling approximately 10 miles per hour, made the passage from Mackinaw City north to St. Ignace. The antique equipment shared the bridge with cars and trucks as they proceeded across the structure in the far eastbound lane. 001p1_xlg.jpg
