Pay for the Mackinac County commissioners totaled $4,842.30 for May. Commissioners receive an annual salary of $4,222 and, for the commission chair, $5,049. Meeting compensation is $60 for the first meeting in a day and $50 for additional meetings the same day. Additional reimbursement for travel expenses is 55¢ per mile.
